Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

After a year of searching for carbon wheels, this is the deal I was looking for. Finally bit the bullet and ordered them.

realize these are aluminum beaded clinchers.

Very durable wheel, but not the lightest, and no longer the most aero.

They're clearing these out, now that you can get a 404 clincher all carbon with the firecrest rim.

Great deal for a decent aero wheel. I believe they are canceling production of this wheelset and suppliers are blowing out current inventory.

Dammit! I left my $1100 in my other pair of pants! Guess I'm going to have to pass on this deal.

I was going to buy these, till I called them and found out it is not the FC design.

Bought a pair of 2011 Stinger 6 FRs from RA Cycles for $1365 instead

How did you get that price? They show $1680....for that, I would just get some Firecrest 303 blacks that weight about 200gms less.

They had $1365 for one day only (on the 6th).

I contacted them about it as I had some questions about international shipping - by the time I got around to placing the order, the price had gone up to $1680, but they said they'd give me the old rate (as my order was delayed by the time difference).

My card HAS been charged $1680, but they said they'd sort it out. Let's see - they're a big enough shop that I am pretty certain they won't rip me off, even if they ARE in Brooklyn.

Also score a pair of Vittoria Evo CXs from PBK for $65 apiece (after the USEXTRA15 discount), so am pretty stoked, all in all
