Deep aluminum rims...
Im currently riding an old 7 speed trek. I have no intention on upgrading the whole groupset and I have found a fairly cheap dura ace 7 speed hub 32 hole, and was going to build off that. Weight is not really that important to me as Im light and this is not my race bike.
I was thinking about using a velocity b43 or an eightinch julian rim and machining the rim myself. I know they are track rims and cheap ones at that but they are the only things I can find in my price range. Hoping to keep it within 100 bones. But I cant seem to find deep aluminum road rims anywhere. They seem to be reasonable rims. Or should I just use an open pro or something more practical.
Do you guys think this would be a successful combo.
