Fizik Microtex in the rain

I didn't realize there was a difference and mistakenly ordered the normal microtex tape instead of the "soft touch". Just to clarify, it has an almost patent leather gloss to it.

It seems like it would be incredibly slippery in the wet...and I've got a potentially wet crit coming up this weekend.

Anyone have any experience with this stuff?

for me it actually gets stickier when it is wet. ymmv
