Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

I only read BM while having a BM. (comes in handy if you run out of toilet paper).

I had subscribed about two years ago. I let it expire. Relentless Fred Drivel. I get their emails and just linked off their website.

It's all drivel in the cycling press. I read Velo News and Cycling News online, that's about it.

Pcad's new favorite mags are Vintage Guitar Magazine and Premier Guitar magazine.

The New Pcad® rocks. And plays the blues of course.

So, are you saying blood thinner therapy has created not a "3rd gen" Pcad, but a "new" Pcad ?

Oh, and too keep thread OT, I used to get Bicycling Mag only because it was part of package deal
with an event registration.

I've only ever fallen due to clipless pedals once (on a road bike). I wasn't moving, and no one was around to witness my shame

Of course, my luck I managed to get a small bit of road rash on my knee from that incident, so I had to own up to it any time somebody asked about it.

I may have fallen a time or two (hundred) more than once when I first started clipless on the mtb.

I'd rather have road clipless fail than this:

Leaning your bike against the wall and looking and admiring it. Gust of wind knocks it over. Rear Derailleur hanger bends.

You don't notice and shift into largest gear:

You're right, shifting into the largest gear is embarrassing.
