Little worried about the defence department carbon. If Canada attacks does Uncle Sam send the repossession agents around?
Rear brake very tidy.

Freds ride Treks.
Lance rode Treks and freds only know Lance. Ergo, freds buy Trek.
It's not Italian.
They're a big, evil bully (like Specialized) who force shops to carry only their brand.
They're a big, evil bully who swallowed up other smaller brands.
Lance rode Trek.

Surprising number of improvements for such a mature model, and they are going all the way to 64cm for the H2 version. For some of us, Trek is almost the only option for a (road) racing bike, because they make big frames. I ride a 2012 700 series frame, and it's a pretty sweet ride.
I'm not a fan of the Shimano 11 speed system, because of the proprietary nature of the crank. At this point, you need to go all Shimano, and that doesn't include a PM option.

Oh, no, not in the 41. That kind of logic just won't fly. Let's see:

And yes they are not Italian.
And yes...a disproportionate number of freds are seen riding Treks.
It is what it is.

The other Specialized dealer here also carries Felt, Giant, Raleigh, Wilier.
The third local Specialized dealer also carries felt, colnago.
The Trek dealer here also carries Cannondale, Cervelo, Merlin, Orbea, Wilier.

Im not a trek fan, but this bikes look sweet. I'm not sure about the integrated brakes. But seems like a logical evolution for bicycle. Imo integrating parts into the frame will eventually have standards. For now we'll probably see some crazy bikes come out.

Am i the only one who's not convinced of the aero benefits of the hidden rear brake? i mean, it looks cleaner, but besides looks, there is still air moving under the BB...
I'm not talking about things like BMC's integrated brakes on their TM01, but about things like the new Madone, which still stick out of the frame

I like that fact that Trek is a US based company. Plus, anything warranty related is pretty easy to get taken care of.
As for their "vanilla" bikes...I guess maybe this could be true. I just don't care enough/see the appeal of buying some flashy Italian carbon bike that was made in Taiwan. They may be just as good, but the appeal isn't enough to drive me toward that.
Re: 7 series, we'll have to see. What upsets me the most is that Trek is making this frame change to their 6-series bikes as well (brakes included). Some of us want a quality carbon bike without the "newest" race features. I don't know why bike makers are so quick to trickle down these features when they are absolutely pointless to 95% of the riding population.
