Adverse affects of piss-poor equipment?

Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

You forgot to mention that air has mass, so to really lighten up, ride with those tubes empty.

I started road biking again by getting an old POS and cursed every ride. now I have a modern instrument of beauty and I enjoy every ride with great swiftness.

Wait. I thought carbon explodes when it gets wet. How in the world do you mix the two safely....let alone drink it?

You wouldn't think 11 ounces was a small amount if you were a drug pusher.

I did and I was apalled at how much they were holding me back. Not a problem, I simply drilled them out for some weight savings and Über cool factor.

Hell, just dial it up to 400 watts and drop 'em, especially if they have on Pro kit.

Try hydrogenated water - the hydrogen will likely make it much much lighter!

Best way to make the hydrogen stay in the water is to mix in some chlorine tablets. Will also ensure your bidons are clean!

I would say that a good fitting bike and better aerobic and muscle strength will make you faster, not a lighter bike.
