Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Strava: your new nanny

Strava has ceased to show the leaderboards for the big descents. Tell Strava you don't need them to be your nanny. Post this image as your profile picture on Strava.

Why? You say to tell them that we don't need them as our nanny, yet you are telling us what to do. I need a profile pic to protest that. *runs off to search for a profile pic saying that we don't want you telling us what to do*.

Oh and welcome to Bike Forums. *waves* Why don't you tell us more about yourself and the bike that you ride.

Don't like the policy? Then don't use Strava. You're free to use or create your own service...

I'm with gregf83. Also a news flash - turns out you can still ride your bicycle downhill as fast as you please.

Using Google Translator for the first post I come up with "I'm fat and I'm pissed."

Wow. Strava turned off the leaderboards on downhills to most likely avoid getting sued to oblivion. Oh no.

I think I'd prefer them to stay around, who cares who goes down the fastest, up is what matters to me.
