Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Daylight savings ends tonight ... but only in most of North America. Not good.

Russia has got it right ... stay on DST all the time. Pity North America doesn't do that too.

The whole notion of changing the time itself instead of just changing at which hour we go to bed & wake up is just so.... well, American.

Since I ride at 6:30 a.m., I no longer get to use my lights.
And just last Friday, two of my riding partners again told me how annoyingly bright my rear light (DiNotte) was.

Sure sign the light does what its supposed to do. If it bothers them that much they could ride a tad faster

In Australia, the time is changing forward. Ahhh... spring, nice temperatures and longer daylight hours.

Thank God we're finally going back to normal time. I'd do away with Daylight Savings Time altogether, or limit it to beginning the week before Memorial Day and ending the week after Labor Day.
