What about the Scott Foil?

Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

What about the Scott Foil?

Opinions? The cheaper HMF Net frame, not the pricer HMX Net model.

Consider this a BF Papal Feasibility Study, any valuable contributions will smooth your way in the afterlife.

Didn't you deem it the Scott Fail when it debuted?

The BF Papal See is often fickle and fearful of change and innovation.

Velonews deemed the Foil as the best all-around aero bike, FWIW:

https://velonews.competitor.com/2012/...sited_256023/8

The victorious Foil placed only third in the wind tunnel, tightly packed with the Venge and C1, but walloped the rest in the stiffness lab and blew us away with its race-worthy ride quality. It rides exactly like a quality, non-aero race frame should: ultra stiff with impeccable handling, if a somewhat harsh ride. When a bike rides this well, the aerodynamic benefit is just the icing on the cake.

There is a bunch of stuff here dating back to its first release. Covers the early seat post slippage problems. One guys said the new ones have a better fitting post now.

So do we watch for white smoke rising over Mt Doom to indicate a new bike has been chosen?

Only if you can find a space amidst the collective world media traffic scrum.

I like the Foil it would be one I would consider if going the aero bike route. Though I think if my Orbea Orca quits on me I'll either get another one or a BMC Team Machine, or the Cervelo R3. I don't time trial or race so the aero advantage isn't something I'm looking for.

How do you like your Orca? I've been lusting over one, but they don't seem popular here, WW, or ST.
