1 paint crack on the right rear stay (near the skewer)
2 a hairline crack under the seat tube clamp
3 currently the paint is coming off the top tube were the internal brake cable comes out of. (Waiting for a reply)
The warranty states that they warranty paint for 1 year. Specialized has followed thru. Hopefully my next frame will have no issues. Im also very meticulous inspecting my frame.

I'd say the best thing I've bought for my bike has been a set of Vittoria Open Corsa Evo CXIIs. They've lasted a long time, have given me virtually no flats, and ride REALLY well. I can't imagine getting more out of a set of tires.

A frameset that fits perfectly and handles exactly the way I like.

Ancient Clydesdale
My bike came with Alex 330 wheels, 16F/20R spokes. I weigh 225, not a good combination.
I bought a set of wheels; Open Pro rims, 32h, Ultegra hubs. That's the best thing I've bought for my bike.

I would have to say that other than clipless peddles in 1985, dual control levers - mine were Campy Chorus 8-speed in the middle 90s.

Clipless stuff
I tried regular pedals with toe clips a couple of weeks ago to see if it would be easier on my IT band for the time being. Felt so crappy in comparison that after a few minutes I had to turn back home cause they killed any desire I had to ride.

I'm considering a new set of wheels, which will be handbuilt. I hope that becomes the best thing I buy, at least for now.
Right now?
-Deda Newton Shallow handlebars 42cm o-o
A bit narrower than the stock handlebars I received (42cm c-c). I now feel way more comfortable in the shoulders. The positions on the traditional shape are also much preferable to the typical ergo curve.
