Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

New BIKE! Deal or NO Deal! PLEASE HELP! (Cannondale SuperSix)

A guy that I ride with is upgrading and is looking to sell his 2013 Cannondale Super Six with Sram Red and Mavic Ksyrium Elite wheels
Its in great shape and never been crashed. He wants $2,000 for it...should I go for it or?

Thanks guys and happy riding!

If it fits, that sounds like a pretty fair price to me.

I didn't do A LOT of search, BUT in the 2 minutes I looked on ebay and Searchallofcraigs, I see other used 2013 supersixes out there for a little bit cheaper. If you really like it and it is like new condition, sure. If there are some small marks or you aren't in NEED of it, I would offer $1700-$1800. I understand he has the mavics on there, but they aren't some elite set of zipps or Enve's.

Is it an EVO or just the Supersix, looking at the Cannondale website, they didn't release a supersix with sram red, perhaps he upgraded it after the fact.

Here's a list of the 2013 cannondale bikes...keep in mind that brand new at most shops right now, the 2013's are around 20% off as they try to get rid of old stock. Also, the 2014's saw a pretty decent price drop.

That said, if it fits and the guy is one who takes care of his bikes, that's probably not a bad deal at all.

I say go for it if it's your size.
