Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Specialized Allez Upgrade Questions - Force 22

I have a 2010 Allez 50/34 compact with an Apex groupset that I've been upgrading as parts have worn out. My big ring needs to be replaced so I decided to upgrade to a standard 53/39 Sram Force crankset, however my local shop can't find one as SRAM isn't offering or supporting Force in a 10 speed, only the Force 22 which isn't compatible. Anyhow, I can either go with a Rival crankset upgrade or upgrade completely to Force 22. My question is whether this even makes sense to put a Force 22 group on an Allez frame? Or just go with the Rival crankset?

buy the part online and take it to your shop. no shame in that since your shop can't get it done, someone else can. no big deal
