Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

SRAM Force 2.2 BB30 crankset

Well after doing some more research and reading I am going to replace my Apex crankset with the SRAM Force 2.2 system. Great deal on the crankset and should be better overall for stiffness and when the rings wear get a set of Praxis Works.

Bikes: lots

It's "22", not "2.2". You know...11 speed w/ 2 chainrings...22.

Uhhh... Hmm I've never noticed this before but coincidentally the version of Force before the current 22 is actually called... 2.2... Stop being a dick.

The new 11-speed Sram Force group is labeled "22" but the previous and current 10-speed Force crankset is labeled "2.2" so don't worry, both of you are right.

But I would prefer the new Force 22 BB30 crankset because of the longer spindle. If you ever decide to change your frameset, the Force 22 BB30 crankset will fit the majority of different, wider bb shells (i.e. bb30/pf30, bbright, bb386, bb90)

Ooooooohhhhh, that hurt...you really got me w/ the "Fred" part. If you only knew...

If you can look at SRAM's site and find any place where Force and 2.2 are used to describe the same part, I'll admit you're right. Some online sales sites use it, but SRAM only use it on the S100 2.2 crank.

Knew what.............that everyone can hide behind a keyboard and pretend in life to be something they are not! See it everyday in my line of work...........I could say the same to you but I am not that way nor throw out my background to try and impress folks. I am a average Joe as you can see from my avatar saying...........I don't climb mountains like Froome or sprint like Kittel. I just ride for the love of cycling. I make my living from my weapons and technology expertise and background in hazardous chemicals that can drop people over in just PPM < now thats parts per million if your wondering. I put my life on the line monthly executing state and federal search warrants and most of the time go against guys and sometimes gals that have better weaponry than I do. I work for the government......might say your tax dollars. But I do my job well and never pretend that I am soemthing I am not. I like what I do and putting the people that you are unaware of out to hurt you in federal prison for the rest of their lives brings what you might say a very smug smart ass smile to my face. So that is me................not a pro rider nor anywhere near......and I bet not many if any are here either or I would see them on tv every July for the entire month!

So let's quit dick slinging and agree that I posted about getting a new crank and you made a error in thinking I had mis-typed my post. Hey, I will even buy you a beer if you ever come my way. Maybe you can teach me some ride techniques and I can teach you to handle a fully auto supressed sub machine with accuracy! I would consider your assisting me a better deal buddy because I look to shave time off my rides weekly.

So let's all be civil and enjoy the site. BTW- Want a slightly used SRAM Apex compact crank********** Make you a great deal!
