Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

This kit is designed to aid the best cycling team in the peloton. Even though it is a knock off, I live in such a sparsly populated area 99% won't know what Sky, Pinarello, or the WWF are with the later potentially being confused with Wrestling
Nice looking kit

La Vie Claire jersey is ok; It meets the Vintage exception. Telekom jersey needs another 10 years.

I've got a replica team PDM jersey that I've worn on my bike (while riding my PDM colored Concorde no less), but I probably won't do it again as it's not the most comfortable jersey. Kind of cool (in my opinion) to have a matching jersey and bike though.

That's pretty kool. I used to ride supersix and bought cannondale lefty jersery, not i ride giant and felt so i use that when i ride solo. Have to say i've seen some pretty kool Felt kit.

I have no issue with wearing a team kit on training/fun rides, although I understand why some people are hesitant. I think it would be ridiculous to wear one during a race.

I bought a super cheap 2011 Radioshack bib/jersey combo for $35 online. I love the bibs and they're my only pair, so I wear them a decent amount with other jerseys. I only wear the Radioshack jersey later in the season (usually a bit slimmer) and on days when I feel strong.

It's pretty silly, but I feel like I'm only allowed to wear it when I can really hammer it down. I'd hate to be wearing it struggling on the hills when the local cycling club comes flying past me. But it's oddly satisfying passing someone when you've got a giant "NISSAN" on your ass.

I wear a lot of older team jerseys. Never the current colors of a pro team. I also wear a lot of "vintage" team jerseys. And, I do have a lot of brand jerseys, mainly Castelli. I never show up to a race wearing a team style jersey except the club I race for. Since I am a Cannondale guy, most of my team jerseys have Cannondale somewhere on them. Full kits are a no-no for me. I ride, you ride, we all ride, just RIDE!
Cheers

I would wear that too! What about regional/state jersey's?

I wear this one with black shorts:

Seems like at my kids' school, half the boys on any given day are wearing soccer jerseys Man U is a huge favorite.

I see no problem with wearing a team's kit. Would I wear a team jersey combined with their shorts/bib? Nope. I will wear one or the other, but never together. I liken it to soccer jereys, which have sponsors on them as well. I will wear my team's shorts (Arsenal), but not combine it with the top, and vice versa. There is an expectation when one shows up to a soccer field, fully kitted up with top, shorts, socks, to perform extraordinarily or be ridiculed into oblivion. I expect the same should happen in cycling. Now, we were once schooled at a pickup soccer game by a fully kitted Jamaican cat, who came in stretching and jumping up and down heading imaginary soccer balls as his warmup. He ended up with a hat-trick, and thus, I had no problem with him wearing a complete kit, lol.

Some flags work better than others. Arizona and New Mexico's flags make awesome looking jerseys. Nevada's flag is too boring, as are many others.

Maryland's would be butt-ugly.

Maybe this situation could be resolved by not even letting pro teams wear pro kits. Everyone could be required to wear plain white cotton t-shirts so that there's no delineation between pro, amateur and recreational riders.

What's the difference in wearing a full major league uniform, NFL uniform or NBA to your recreational activity? I see no problem with it..

I have a Polish national champion jersey that I wear regularly. I'm Polish and like OPQ so it works well, plus the design is cool. I don't think anyone has mistaken me for Kwiatkowski yet. I wouldn't wear it to a competition, though; I also think that wearing a full kit with the bibs on a replica team bike would be kind of dorky.
