Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

I'd say the OP got the wrong bike for his requirements.

Maybe. Can't speak for him, but I bought an Evo and love it. The fact that I need some spacers to get a comfortable fit doesn't mean I have the wrong bike. I'd need spacers on a lot of bikes. I'm not going to forego getting the bike I want simply because I can't slam the stem.

Great looking bike and you got a deal! Don't know why anyone would rant about spacers after OP already bought the bike. This ain't "hot r not...."

I bought the DA version, since swapped it to Campy Record. I love the bike, the frame is awesome. Who cares if its aged a bit. Its new with a warranty and try and find something lighter in that price range would be tough. Nice buy.
