Pearl Izumi: Warranty Q's - Wear and Amazon?

Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Pearl Izumi: Warranty Q's - Wear and Amazon?

Not sure where to ask this, seems like if we had a clothing/accessories forum it would belong there.

I understand the Pearl Izumi has a lifetime warranty. I have a pair of shorts that I've had for going on 2 years now, and the legs are starting to wear. The legs are going white with the threads starting to show.

So my questions are these: does that qualify as warranty replacement, and if so since I bought them from amazon.com, how can I prove proof of purchase?

This doesn't sound like a manufacturer defect. Just worn clothing.

I agree with BigJeff, sounds like they're just worn out to me. That said, you can get a copy of your payment confirmation from Amazon's site under "Your Account --> Order History". I believe my account has 10+ years of purchase history available.

Normal wear and tear. I wouldn't try to get it rpelaced under warranty. It's clothing. It's supposed to wear out.
