I am actually a functional unit today after finally listening to @Heathpack and @Hermes. I looked at my form when doing squats, and was horrified at what I saw. What I thought I saw, and what the mirror said, were two different things. Cut my weight to half of what I was doing, and things were much better. Box jumps down to a 9" level, and that was like magic. Legs lifts and curls, no sweat there. Inclined sit-ups really seem to loosen me up, which is also good. Planks still suck, and always will.

OMG, I am a little scared of mass market cruises and now I am going on one. But my niece has organized a big family trip on a Caribbean cruise for next Jan and she really wanted us to come. I had to get special dispensation from the Pope to go, because I am out of vacation time. We are people number 15 and 16 on this trip, I think. The niece and nephew who are the central people on this trip are awesome people, they are young and have been through a lot in the past year. So I really wanted to go, even though these big mega-cruise ships are not really my thing. Picking a cabin was ridiculously overwhelming to me for some reason, I just am a fish out of water on a boat like that.
Anyway, it should be fun, we will having people on this trip ranging from 3 yrs old to 77 yrs old. When we get off the ship, nine of us will be heading to Disneyworld for one night. My cousin works there and has enough free tickets for everybody. That part will be a bit of a whirlwind, but worth it in the end.

We ponied up for not just a balcony but a large balcony. The smallest balconies on this ship are 32 sq ft, I'm not kidding. We paid a little more for the 100 sq ft balcony and a little bit bigger room. In case someone swings by.

To be honest, there was no real original, @RUOkie. Just some sage cautionary advice, until the other day. I thought I would do some box jumps, as I was feeling pretty sparky. I went to my typical 18" height, and nearly killed myself. That made me examine the rest, so I snagged a mirror, and the form I thought I had, was non-existent.
Trying too much, too quick. So after last nights work, I feel rather good. 2 steps forward, one step back. But that's OK.

This is the day I break down and buy some actual groceries. The whole bread, milk, possibly vegetables thing. Good weather to throw something in the crockpot if I can figure out what the hell it might be. I believe I also promised to wash some dishes today. *sigh* Why do I suck so hard at this stuff? Cuz I would be quite happy to plop down on the couch with some nachos from Muchas and the remake of "Godzilla". Maybe follow it up with some ice cream and a viewing of "Mercenaries".

Course it was on the USS Guam and the USS Nassau with 2000 Marines on board going into a war zone. Imagine being surrounded by 2000 sweating, over muscled, f bomb dispensing Whooshies. On second thoughts, don't.
