Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Lately it's been ebay. In the past it's been mostly Nashbar.

Pricepoint and a smattering of other online shops. I was a Nashbar regular until they got hacked at the end of 2008. They mis-handled that before AND after. I've used Performance less and less since then, too.

Amazon and Bike Tools Etc., the Bike Tools site has a $25 minimum, but an amazing selection of odds and ends.

I didn't see Modern Bike mentioned yet. I stumbled on their site when I searched for the lowest price for Apple Green Brooks B17, then discovered they were local to me! So I can order online and support my LBS too.
Broad selection, good prices, and great customer service.

It really depends on what I'm ordering:
  • Wiggle - If I'm ordering a lot of parts. This can mean free shipping and delivery in 2 - 3 business days.
  • Competitive Cyclist - If I am ordering clothing and want a good selection. I'm short and as a result, often have to order many items and return what doesn't work. Competitive Cyclist has a great selection and returns are easy.
  • Bike Bling - They often have really good deals so I really shop for the deals. I have had issues where they do not ship in a timely fashion.
  • Amazon - If they have a good price or I need it quickly (e.g. Prime)

Mostly, I'll shop around for deals and have probably placed one or more orders at most of the major online retailers.
