Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

This is pretty sweet. If I can ever convince the wife to let me have a motorcycle, this would be a top-of-the-list accessory.

I had a nice slice of squash quiche for breakfast, btw. Pretty plain - eggs, cream, pureed squash, seasoning - but delicious.

No cheese? Quiche has gotta have cheese. I think there are some languages in which quiche MEANS cheese. One of the Eskimo dialects if I am not mistaken. Look it up if you don't believe me.

Speaking of pie crust, what did you decide to do about the corn-free requirement. I tell ya, I am seeing coconut oil everywhere. But it may soften at too low a temperature to work by itself.

I was wondering if it is possible to buy unsweetened cocoa butter (principal component of white chocolate). I think it would be fun to try that as a shortening for pastry crust.

Back when I wore suits, my shoes were made out of a material that made it shine all the time. I was also riding a Walmart bike that accumulated rust in the first two weeks. Not cool.

It's called a November Wheelhouse. They changed the look, which is a shame.

Walrus milk, milking them is a ***** but the milk is quite good and very rich. If you have not had it, walrus cheese is quite delish.

With that much free time you should be cycling, not polishing. I went that route when attached to the marines and wearing the marine camy's. A lot of polish and spit. There is a certain satisfaction in it though.
