Why is it bad to train in zone 5? Is that just for cycling or is it the same for other conditioning like running where it is much easier to get your HR high in that zone?

I also agree with being open to nonWSD mountain bikes. You just have to go with what one feels the best, which won't necessarily be a WSD bike. Good luck finding a great bike!
