The LBS i use is on Cortelyou Rd and Rugby Road in Brooklyn It's Fairly new but the guys there used to work at ACE cycles around the corner before they closed. They at least know what they know...

To paraphrase comments on other threads Just cause they work in a bike shop dont mean they know what they are doing. And they would bother learning if noone calls them on it when they mess up.
