If you can find it, then Singletrack magazine is a wonderful read. Lots of full colour pictures and well written articles that encompass the whole 'thingyness' of mountainbiking.

This is my favourite. Her name is Ermintrude (because she's a big fat cow), and although she is very reluctant to go up the hills, she really does go for it on the descent....
