Thanks. Good question. Its whatever mood strikes me. Although right now the Colnago is set up with 52/36 and the Parlee with 50/34, so the type of ride plays a minor part.

now that i don't own one any more, I can with certainty comment that this style shimano crank is hideous...not FSA kind of hideous, but still extremely fugly in this kind of setup...
