The only other thing I may add is don't cut anything off the frame and set aside and save anything that you may unbolt in preference to other equipment. So that if you decide to ever restore it back...

Nope, but early hybrids were Entry level, but compared to the modern aluminum hybrid it probably rides smooth as butter. If you got the cash to burn have at it.
