Your eyes can adjust to a steady light... a lone blinking bright light coming at you causes you to constantly shield your eyes. Of course a super bright headlight on steady will do the same thing. ...

I'd probably do the same... areas that are brightly lit tend to "offer" lots of distractions to motorists... so ya gotta do whatever it takes to make yourself stand out.

I wouldn't use blinking headlights on the street after dark either... I don't want to...

I experiment. I put the lights on my bike and then stand back quite a distance and put myself in the same position as a motorist and see what the lights look like.

I actually do this two ways....
