I just took my Troll to the big island of Hawaii. It was great, I was mostly on roads but had a few dirt/sandy and lava rock trails as well.

I boxed it up and it was easy to get back and forth...

The rear brake adapter is installed as Surly intended. As for the fenders, I simply used a longer bolt and a spacer to clear the brake assembly. I don't know what brand they are- they look like...
