When manuf's or spec sheets only list ONE rim width (i.e., inner or outer is not specified), I thought the default was inner.

However, the confusion in this thread (as well as what we've gleaned...

I measured with calipers. 27.5mm outside width. Not sure about inside.

As far as the replacement tire ... Geax Street Runner Tire 26x1.6" seems like a decent choice ......

What about pressure?

Many suggest "high" pressure. Not sure what's high for my application. The Geax Street Runner 26 x 1.6" model has a suggested range of 45-75psi, but the 1.25" can go as high...

Rim label says 27mm

Thx for the chart. Not sure it's the correct one for MY Sun rims.

The print on the stuck-on label on the Sun rims says "6000 Series alloy 559x27mm". I assume the default metric printed is the std....

I have self-made "hybrid" bike that uses 27mmx559mm (i.e., 26") Sun Rhyno Lite rims with 26"x1.75" Continental Top Touring 2000 tires. These tires are awesome but have worn away after about 10 years...
