Yeah, turkey levers are usually pretty useless unless your brakes are super grabby and have a hair-trigger feel.

I understand how some people find one lever uncomfortable, but this setup feels good to me. I don't use the hoods, anyway--just tops and drops.

Looks nice considering the weld. Looks like you kept the derailleur hanger which is good--were there braze-ons for downtube shifters? Do you have the original bar+stem?
