I'll give the comment that a sales rep told me years ago when 10 speed stuff was jusy introduced. "Any one who says more gears isn't better hasn't raced". Andy.

Well, I know that when i'm doing a tour with load on the bike I always want one more lower gear then I have:). Andy.
