Okay ... sorry to sound like a nube but, I can see the benefit of the fat tires on snow, sand, etc. But what about ice? During winter, the backstreets I take around town are solid ice with ruts....

1988 Kuwahara-built Schwinn Impact with Nokian 240s and sks fends. The rack is currently on my "ordinary" commuter.

Riding this bike, I actually overtook a car...
