Thank you guys! What you both said makes a lot of sense. I'll give it a go pulling that part of the seat out and if I can't manage I'll bring it to a bike shop to have it fixed. I'll let you know how...

Good afternoon fine folks!

My first time posting here and hopefully not the last :)

I've just received a used Trek T-30 Navigator bike and while trying to adjust the seat post it came undone....
