Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

I would hope to ****ing God a scale would be a legitimate method of measuring weight.

Measure the mass in a vacuum.

edit:

Measure the air displacement in relation to the bike's density within a vacuum.

I always stood on a scale without bike, got number. Stood on scale while holding bike. Subtract. Does that not work?

Measurement is worth only as much as the method of measurement. If you're scale is fairly accurate, you'll be fine. Even if it isn't the most precise, thats ok too. Weight comparison is just a fun dick measure anyways.

I don't think we ever got the final word on her wheelset choice. Was it the white deep V's?

Nope, it's black Archetypes laced 2X to Miche Primatos w/ Sapim Lasers.

She was considering Fusions, not Deep Vs.

I took off the front brake, installed the right fork then changed from the heavy seat with taillight and bracket--the 721 comes in at 16.4 lbs., with front brake lever and excess steerer tube.

Yup.

I'm waiting on the last parts group for it.

On the serious side..........it does have a baby blue seatpost to indicate its change of gender use.
