just put on the cages and straps tonight, finally got to do the orgasmic skidding trick.. ahh..
i know its NOTHING for you guys, but i have been waiting for this moment since i convereted my bike 2 months ago

just wanted to share my noob's happiness.
although my whole bb seems to be falling out and the cottered crank arm is breaking apart..... i just love to feel of skidding too much to give up

wait what? you were riding with out cages and straps? that's not cool. please tell me you atleast had a brake, there was a guy on here who was riding brakeless and without cages. DANGEROUS! you should read sheldon's article on fixies

lol who said i wasnt using " breaks" ?

i cherish the life my mother gave me, i will not throw it away like some others. although my bike is an old antique. but everything works. so no worries.

They're not cages. The pedal cages are what the toe clips attach to.

yeah but still, i don't think you should ride without toe clips, i don't think anyone should enter the fixie world without haveing toe clip experience, haha. atleast use just one!

get that BB tuned up quick like.

a few days after i started skidding, my BB had some looseness... my LBS said if i had waited it could have potentially been bye bye for the threads..

congrats on skidding. i was giddy after learning in the rain..
