where should i post?

just wondering as im working on making my own recumbent should i post here or in bicycle mechanics or just in general dicussion. anyone here making a bike of there own? or im i on my own here? i just had to see if i had the chain right so i borrowed my daughters front 12 inch tire( tacoed my 20 inch on my first try) to do a little run. well it works still need to get another handle bar extension to help keep my knees from hitting it. took about a dozen trys before i could take off on my own and im stll rather wabbely but its going for now. next is a little one for my daughter as she wants to ride mine
