What if he spent the money on a better frame instead of coloured bars?

Or, judging by the seat post and seat angle, a bike that was his size?

But then we notice, I'm guessing, spacers on the headset? Perhaps it's just not finished, no straps on the toe clips... Wait, likely blew his wad on those bars though.

Haha, yeah. I just noticed that. Perhaps it doesn't make you a jackass, but it certainly makes for a rolling contradiction. :Shakes head: what's the point? Oh, riiiggghhhtttt looks. I totally forgot about that.

I constantly see nice bikes posted here like there's something wrong with them. The one time there's a pure jackass bike, you guys jump out the woods to say how nice it is because it's so jackass.

It's a horrible bike and whoever built it wanted it to be horrible.

Plus, I hate the fact that someone had money to blow on a true sh*tbike. Most of the bikes in this thread have been built by their owners so they are ridden. This one was built to be a showoff.

Basically, you guys proved how imbecilic this WHOLE THREAD really is.

I'm sure some people will call me a hater or something equally stupid, but I happen to think that a $3000 CF frame with riser bars, a 650c front, and all the rest is ****ing asinine.

I agree. Buying a BMC to do bar spins seems a little much. I hope that it is actually used on a track and this is just some sort of messing about configuration.

i can't wait to see the post from this new jack when he breaks his front fork after coming down from one too many wheelies.

"does anyone know where i can find a steel fork with a carbon fork look? i broke my old one learning barspins."

ed: ps, did you read his notes?

Photo taken 2 hours before i got HIT, flew 6 feet sideways off the bike; landed on my head/face, and RUN by a Blue GMC pickup truck on King rd. MOTHER ****ER!... Didn't even stop.. I will die with this bike. but I will be wearing a helmet tomorrow.

so whats the cut-off point in terms of dollars where you can still use risers? i have seen some pretty expensive frames with risers. or is it that its carbon?

why is it any less acceptable to put risers on this than it is on a fuji track pro or a pista concept? i dun get it.

I think we should rename this thread just a tad:

"Jackass BFSSFG poster of the day" >>> "Jackass BFSSFG poser of the day"

Yeah that came to mind, but then so did the thought of that being a retired racing bike that found a 2nd chance. - Though it looks new. . .

" it's silly to spend so much on a performance frame for recreational riding. "
Yea, I really want to agree with that, but...

Spending is unfortunately completely relative.

My fixed, recreational ride came up to $800. Not a crazy amount to spend on something "recreational", but I don't even want to tell you what that is in porportion to my income.

I think the same goes for many others here. Reasonable $ spent on bikes, but kind of questionable when compared to level of income.

Yeah, we're just hating cuz we all wish we could afford a $2750 CF frame to practice bar spins on.
