Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

Bikes: You won't believe what's in our stable.

Prototype Fixed Gear Handlebar.

Until now, fixed gear athletes have been limited to a few bar design choices- each with their own compromises: comfy risers are the choice for rad tricks, but often get hung up on subway doors. Track drops are great for aggressive positioning but are a pain to snake through cafe' fences and lock up...and no barspins!

Feeling this bar-aggravation in our own backyard, and listening to input from our own sponsored riders, we're working on an innovative leap forward in fixed gear bar-ergonomics and functionality.
The Brooklyn Machine Works TriBeCa Bar.

Machined right here in Brooklyn from recycled Soviet 3/2.5 titanium stock, the TriBeCa bar conjures the heart of the NYC fixed gear scene while remaining the lightest fixed-gear specific bar ever produced.

TriBeCa bars also boast the narrowest profile of any comparable fixed-specific alleycat monstertrack Spitzer bar ever, allowing for easy entry and exit out of subway turnstiles, taxi-vans, and condominium storage units.

One Size Fits Most, TriBeCa bars put the rider in the ideal aggresive yet relaxed position on the bike for radgnar traffic cutting. With the decrease in rotational mass compared to your former bars, your bike will practically barspin itself. Watch out Tom!

Available now for pre-order approval, waitlist approximately 12-24 weeks.
Custom Powdercoats available.
For your little piece of the NY scene ,call the shop or email TriBeCaBAR@brooklynmachineworks.com for option financing.

Could we have a picture with brake levers mounted? Brakeless is for losers.

This is where the top tube mounted brake lever comes into play

OT - why does Brookyn produce forks with big clearance? I've never seen them with big tires so I am curious.

Also, do they come in a riser variation? Could I have some custom made, I think a 1/4" rise and 1/16" pullback would really pop when dropped on my gold Varsity with arrospok.
