On Sunday, I took a ride up through van Cortlandt Park. This fellow was fishing catch-and-release on the lake. He caught a bass while I was there.

Yesterday we finished up a 3-day/2-night bike tour, 129 miles, some suburbia by necessity, some nice rural roads with a thick tree canopy.

Last week it was 35 degrees celsius day and night, some spring rain, cyclones and stuff, and it drop down to 20C.
Local hill, just under 1000m attitude, windy with some rain and temperature is around 12C at the top hehe.
View towards the capital.
My cyclocomputer stopped working.

Unfortunately we did not have enough time to visit Zagreb.
Maybe next time.
But we thoroughly enjoyed the many stops along the Dalmation coast!

Sharon wanted to do a ride and some grocery shopping. So we rode from our front door in Waltham out to Hutchins Farm in Concord, bought some good stuff there, and made a stop at TJ's on the MM on the way home. But first stopped for lunch at the North Bridge:
Our destination:
The check-out person was amused about us putting all the stuff on a bike. And another customer asked what Sharon intended to do with all the veggies, said it was enough for an army. I secretly think the same thing, but who am I to argue with my sweetie/stoker? After the TJ's stop we probably had 50lbs of food, but after last week's tour it didn't seem like so much.
For post-ride recovery, cantalope, cheese stick, IPA!

Today I subway'ed/rode out to Cunningham Park. Did a few loops and was impressed by the new purchase I was riding. Technically this was its shakedown ride... and unsurprisingly the headset was shaken loose by all the hopping about on the rocky trails. Other than that there were no mechanical malfunctions to report -- other than my own. Happily, I managed to stay more or less upright and on the bike the whole ride.
Apparently I was too focused on photographing my bike to properly document the trip.

Nice photos everyone. I decided to stay home today after getting stung during yesterday's ride and now I'm battling one large, red, and itchy neck. I'll be back out on Friday. 2 weeks to Cino Heroica - can't wait.

Me too! The bikes my son and I will be riding all ready to go, everything sorted out. He'll be riding my Bruce Gordon and I'll be on the Singer.

Have been visiting the in-laws in Wisconsin, north of Madison. Riding the rolling hills of Columbia county. The corn is as high as an elephants eye and the soybeans look good. The humidity is higher than I am used to but tolerable. Been doing 25 to 55 miles a day and loving it.

I've never seen the Rivendell Catalog so I can't answer your question. (though I do own one of their caps!)

Rivendell catalog? What's that?
I've been riding mostly for my commute these past few weeks, and occasionally a mid-day lunch ride. Today I managed an errand to the next town over. Rode this:
