It hurts any time I see a classic bike Drewed-up but when they do this to one of my beloved Paramounts a little piece of my "steal is real" soul dies. Now I can't tell for sure if it is totally Drewed-up with the full grinder treatment but I would hazzard a guess that it would be yes.

The colors on this bike hurt my eyes. The frame by its self looks cool but when he added everything else, Yikes. It looks like he ate a bag of jelly beans and threw-up all over the bike.
If this wasn't so expensive I'd try to save it myself.

Parts in hand you could have that bike "period correct" (for what, 1993?) in under an hour if you can competently spin a wrench. If you didn't have the parts, a mid 90's 600 group isn't particularly rare or expensive so even that's not so difficult.
It's an early 90's Paramount with ugly wheels, not one of Eddy's tour bikes with a rattle-can paint job, what's the fuss?

If it was one of Eddy's TdF bikes with a rattle-can spray job, that would call for a full thermonuclear response. Or at least the dreaded Death by A Thousand Dremels.

OK, I can be a noob if that means accepting the fact that other people have different aesthetic tastes and bike set-up preferences than myself and not getting worked up about easily reversible changes to fairly generic bikes. I know, I know, it's a Paramount, so it's quality, but Parmounts from that time frame aren't exactly rare, or special unless it actually came from the Waterford factory, which I doubt this one did.

Is it even a waterford bike or an asian one? I thought drewing was only if the frame has been altered. I see nothing wrong with that bike in fact like the neon theme. I appreciate that the rims are the same colour, the trend of different colour rims is the one I am having a hard time with.

It really looks like an asian one to me. About as special as a Giant from that era.
I guess the Proctor Townsend I picked up yesterday off UsedVictoria will qualify as "drewed" to some, as I'll be pulling it's (nonfunctional) gears and using a fixed cog. You know, like traditional racers do every year for winter. Total Drews, every one of 'em, even the fast ones.

actual "Drewing" requires permanent metalworking changes to the frame. Putting a fixed gear on a bike doesn't qualify. I doubt this has been drewed because the paint job is original.

So Drewed might not be the description. A more accurate term would be FUGLY.
I say build your bikes the way you want to ride them. It shouldn't be about pleasing and gaining the acceptance of the populace.
