Not sure what problem they are trying to solve... Interesting tho.. However, in order to make sure you have no "free play" developing as the parts wear out you will have to spring load the derailleur to one side so it will squeeze out the "free play". So, if you need a spring to make sure the derailleur is always pulling against one side of the cable, why would you need the "return" cable?
I think it is a neat idea, but it doesn't really solve a problem.

I don't see how it's going to shift as smoothly as a derailleur with a parallelogram linkage that's set up so that the cage tracks closely to the cogs. One of the reason people use such a linkage is to maintain closeness of the cage to the cog throughout the full range of motion. This helps to make shifts smooth and crisp. By simply just sliding the cage sideways, you will have very laggy shifts in the medium and smaller cogs.

Yep, looks like an answer in search of a problem. Twice as much cable, housing, cable stops etc.

Interesting idea. Regardless if we think its a better design or not, its nice to see fresh ideas in the industry.

My suggestion: Contact Pacific, they seem to be on a buying spree...

Looks like a dangling target for lots of rocks to smack and destroy.

Sorry, but I see no significant reason to adopt this sytem over the current standard.

But it looks really cool anyway.
