No, I'm out of the running. I couldn't get an entry together, which is what qualifies me as a judge.

I'm still committed to finishing, but it will be a mad dash this weekend to finish up. My before pics look awful, so I'm hoping for sunshine Sunday for a better photo op.

Didn't enter but have completed building and rebuilding a few bikes this spring... figure the fact I have a shop and a really deep parts bin disqualifies me from playing.

Can't wait to see the entries.

I FINALLY got the paint and decals done. Started assembling today in my spare time. I should have it done in time. I do have some in process pics ready too.

I'm out, things just didn't come together this year. I'll keep it in the queue anyway and plan to get it done "in it's own time". Got the theme, rewrote some words to a song to go along with it and found a good youtube vid for the music to link to, found a couple of key accessories to go along with the concept, but some significant aspects of the build never came together or arrived. And an alternative build option just didn't feel right and wouldn't have kept true to the build plan.

In the end it was still fun, I learned a bit, and will eventually put something together within the conceptual parameters.

I'm really looking forward to seeing what others came up with and to see how the trophy came out.

Got it nearly done, plan to take a pic tomorrow. Can't say it's what I had in mind when it was started but it is certainly something that could make a future owner happy. I just couldn't find the parts to make the funky bike I wanted to, so i settled for a regular bike...

I finished, just in the nick of time. I did not, however, finish in time to take advantage of the one hour of sunshine we got yesterday to take photos in natural light.

I'll try to post some pics and details and travails later this week if I can. I don't want to post before the deadline closes. I figure we'll need something to knock around while the submission collector is anonymizing the entries and while the judges are judging and humming and hawing and debating the relative merits of each entry.
For now I think I'll wander down to the utility bike and alternative bike sections of the site here to see what folks have come up with relating to a golf or fishing theme.

Blah, not done either. I posted my pics to my photobucket account but it didn't save any of the descriptions of the build. I'm redoing it in Picassa now. Not done, but it was worthwhile and I enjoyed the build.
