Tomorrow Should Be Fun!!!!!
Riding alone, Gina visiting family and the weather report says 45 mph wind
While others stay at home in bed under the covers, I will be out riding into a massive headwind. Nothing more fun that suffering into the wind watching other riders around looking they are ready to cry. That little tear in their eye always warms my heart. Nothing more fun than busting your butt trying to hold 10 mph. Nothing more fun thinking you suck but then realize you are passing other riders at 10 mph.
Of course riding alone adds to the wind fun. No need to hold a steady pace, no need to hold a line, no need to avoid accelerations, no need to show caution to any of the riders trying to hold your wheel.
It's gonna be good!
Who else is being blessed tomorrow?

I was "blessed" on Wednesday - rode 25 miles in heavy wind/rain and it felt like a 100 miles. I have a new hybrid bike to play with (great deal on a used Trek fx 7.3) and so rode it to the Post Office, Accountant etc. It was brutal but fun Nice change to drop the spandex and cleats for plain old biking...

A wise uncle once told me that anyone can get caught out in it but only a fool heads out in it.
Good luck! Have fun and be safe.

I am only getting 20mph winds today But fortunately for me I am doing a 40-50 mile one way trip so I get to have a great headwind all the way there...figured I'd leave my fat tires on also to make it a little more "fun".

We've got gusts of up to 40mph and a 80% chance of rain. So of course I decided to commute somewhere .

Beanz, you're a sick, sick man.
I rode last weekend in high winds and didn't really enjoy the ride all that much. Guess I need to harden up.

Speaking of oh snap! Now this really sucks! Getting ready for the ride and a bracket on the garage door "snapped". Had to fuss and fight with the door to get the cars out, dang Gina is strong.
Spent all day looking for parts but can't find them at the local hardware shops, and the garage repair dude wants $200......That's 3 or 4 Deep V's.
Good thing was I didn't miss much of a ride, wind aint blowing like the weather dude predicted.

A friend of mine paid only $100 more than you did and got a brand new garage door opener motor and 3 remotes, plus they probably lubed the door 'cause it's nice and quiet now.
