what is this stem set-up

taking a look at the stem on my new folder, this is what i see. it appears to be a simple quill stem right? i have to get out the calipers and measure the diameter tonight. i wonder if it would be possible to use a standard threadless stem clamped to the riser steerer? i guess that will depend on the diameter.

Thanks for that. Actually it was the folding clamp section I wanted a closer look at(!). . . any chance of another pic?

no problem, have iPhone, will photograph! i'll snap one tonight.

regardless, anyone know more about this stem set-up?

i guess that will depend on the diameter.
and for that you have to measure things, no app substitute for that.
