How To Mount a Large Saddle Bag to my Road Bike?
I have a large Acorn saddle bag that I mount on my tourer from time to time. The tourer has a Brooks saddle. I use the two metal slots on the Brooks and the seat post as mounting points. My road bike has a lightweight Fizik saddle with no slots.
There have been occasions where it would have been nice to use the saddle bag on the road bike. I use a bar bag on that bike sometimes but space is very limited.
Seems like I recall something about a fixture that attaches to the seat rails and has slots that allow for the threading of the bag straps.
Can anyone help?

WallBike sells a clamp to mount across the back of seat rails that allows the mounting of various saddle bags.

I use Minoura's back of the saddle double water bottle cage mount..
it has 2 arms flaring out then bending down, with a pair of threaded inserts per side.
width is same as the strap mount holes in the bag
P clip around the support dowel across the bag, screwed to the 2 upper inserts,
then I sawed off the 2 lower threaded inserts..
I also stow my frame pump strapped across the dowel.

Thank you, gentlemen, for your response. Wallbike is out of stock on both types of clamps. I'll visit my local hardware store soon and nose around. Any excuse to peruse the thousands of items at my local store.

Wallbike isn't the only place to get it.

Cyclo bag loops add saddle bag loops to any saddle. I was thinking of these for my Brooks Pro, theses don't have bag loops.

Although I have not tried this myself, I have heard of clamping a threadless stem on the seatpost (likely need a spacer for fit), then a short section of 3/4 inch diameter PVC pipe instead of handlebars in the other end of the stem. Then hang the bag from the PVC pipe.
I assume you do not have a carbon seatpost.
