rode naked last night....... no idea of ride time

I don't have a computer on my bike and last night I rode home after a thunderstorm that had moved the through the area. I was just trying to be careful while I rode. (slower pace i think)

I forgot to start my stopwatch and enjoyed the ride I think even more.

Maybe :-)

Its the only way to ride if you ask me. Then you can concentrate on the world around you and appreciate the beauty.

I broke 2 computers in less than a year back in '07 and never bothered to buy another one. The only thing I really miss is the clock, so I can tell how late I am for work or dinner.

I had bad luck with cheap computers.
Now I just use stop watch app on my phone if I want a benchmark for a given distance or calculate average speed.

I've had dreams where I've done that. Usually I'm late for a final in a class I forgot I was taking.

Would riding naked cancel out the aerodynamic effects of the rack?

Just set an alarm on your phone for 10 minutes before you're supposed to arrive.. so if it starts beeping and you're nowhere near, just bam it up a notch.

I think that would depend on the size of the rack.

I have a computer on at all times, but I don't really pay attention to it. I mainly use it to keep track of total miles for maintenance, and to see how long things like tires and chains last, etc.

I was excited to find a reputable brand name computer on a bike I recently found in the trash and I couldn't wait to install it. My first bike computer ever...wow! Then I used it for two days and found I was missing the entire ride. Took it off and now I don't even know where it is.

I really like Chris's quote: "...it's a bike you just sorta ride it."

I always ride slower when naked too. I really miss the pad in my shorts though.

Hmmm... that might work, or at least be cheaper than getting a phone mount for my bars.

Or the size of the naked person.

rode last night with the stopwatch going and I definitely felt myself pushing the pace more than the other day. I was not too bad but I did notice it at times. The mrs sure appreciated the faster ride but legs were feeling it or maybe it was the headwind for the last 2 miles...

Here in San Francisco, it's actually not the unusual to see someone riding naked. I've seen it at least 3 times. Not a pretty sight!

Meh, people get too worked up about things. I'd love to live somewhere that things like this weren't even cause for comment.

You gotta figure some racks would be more aerodynamic with clothing, while others without...
