indestructable wheels
sorry for all the questions lately but i appreciate the good help! 
to put disks on my bike i would need new hubs so i am thinking about just getting some new wheels as my back one is slightly bent.
now i do quite a bit of really hard street riding like 8stairs to flat and some other big drops.
i also do dj'ing and a bit of freeride and trails but not as much.
so could you reccomend some really strong wheels.
i dont want the price to go to high but im open to suggestions

How much do you weigh?
Recently I have heard that it's not so much rim/hub strength as it is spoke count.
I weigh 145lb and I do 5ft drops and small jumps with 32h wheels.

I don't entirely see how the hub plays a part in wheel strength unless the hub is flexing side to side during dh or freeriding.
I think people that say that, build xc and road wheels. I kind of wish DBD would pop in and say something as I know he builds wheels for ****** dh specific riders.

Hmm...
Hope hubs, whichever takes your fancy, even the HOPE Xc hubs are practically bombproof.
Running on halo Rims... Combats, Freedoms or SAS, all will work really well for you, the rims are so cheap, fully built wheels (2 of em) for about £120..

He's worried about price, and you guys suggest Hope and Juju? I'm thinking he needs some Rhynolites laced to whatever is on special at Wheelworld.com or JensonUsa or Pricepoint.

I have nothing but good reviews for Sun Mammoths laced to Juju hubs. There are a couple online sources for Juju hubs cheaper than XT. $35 front, $45 rear, both disc and cartridge bearing. I will however reccomend changing the stock grease as it can be inconsistent in disc heat.

I have run the XT hubs and Rhynos for several race seasons and over 5k miles each and the Jujus are no comparison. Xt is still open ball and suffers from all the maint issues of it. The cartridges on Jujus, once fitted with Valvoline or other high grade disc grease are good for 2-3k mi between overhauls, instead of 4-500 mi.

I think the original poster has left the thread, but if you go back and look, he's concerned with durability for jumping. It's unlikely the wheels will see 5k miles of abuse.

We have the slight problem that He is British, are these makes available in the UK?
i still think a set of halos are ideal for you, they are pretty heavy though, If you dont want Hope, get the stock hubs that come on the halos, the Diatechs, apparently they are bulletproof, and dirt cheap aswell, many dirt jumpers over here use them..

My point stands. Xt frehubs are not that sturdy. I have worn out 3 and I am only a moderate urban rider. The Juju frehub is a coarser, tougher design that lends itself to the abuse stunters put them through.

WOO thats a nice price for the Jujus! THankyou for that link. but i second mtbikerpa, even if the jujus cost 20 bucks more (which i know know they dont) over the XT's. I would go for them, the life expectancy is much greater. But the RHyno lites are a good choice, or the cliff hangers. Though the rhyno lites are cheaper

They have some tough looking hoops, but I don't think I've heard of them stateside or down under either.
