Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? I like riding my bicycle

foremost.. I like riding my fixed gear. I don't own anything else.

When people want to learn about riding fixed, these people end up here.

This forum deals with more drama than the golden girls did in an entire season.

Lets just talking about bikes because.... well... the rest of this is really annoying.

I love to talk about bikes and biking.

Hello, I work 65 hours in a week. I try to ride for an hour after I get off everyday. On the weekends, I ride for 48 hours straight. I love ridin bikes, ask anyone that knows me. I like bikes more than sex, drugs, and rock n roll. A track bike is my bike of choice, simple, fast, and will get me from point a to b. But I do not limit myself to track bikes. I also have a rode bike and a mountain bike. I just love to ride bikes. It is not to often that I am serious, it seems as if I am always joking around. I also try to annoy people I find annoying or I really like you so I **** with you. Bikes are amazing, now only if I could say this about all the people that ride them. Have fun, and dont ever let anyone make you be serious, unless you want to be serious. Then your just a geezer.

so I live righ by an underpass right.

So, it will be all really ****ty rainy and just all in all bad.. but you can still go rock it under the bridge and play with fixed tricks..

Then...hehhehehehhehehh...
periodicaly there are these kids that dress up like knights and sword fight under the same bridge...
They seem pretty intense.

They take turns fighting one on one in a circle all midevil fight club style....
and after a while they always stare at me because I'm riding around under a bridge on a "weird" bike...and they are wearing armor and sword fighing.

who would you say mainly starts the irrelevant threads. I often think it isnt more senior members. It often is newer members. Maybe attention, maybe they think it will give them cred. But id rather have a newbie argue why 52x12 is so much better than 48x18 for street use.

It's hard to imagine, but even "playing" when a mother****er gets hit with a sword....it's pretty core.

There are some kids in Chicago that build tall bikes and little kids bikes and do this same kind of thing in Wicker Park. I would be tryin to make it to the train and I would start watching these kids and next thing I would now it is 4 hours later. They would have sausages around their necks and ****.
