Thank you.
Why do these tshirt businesses continue to pop up? At least the excessive messenger bag entrepreneurs have some technical and design ability, as opposed to just setting up an account with American Apparel and tapping a stupid fashion.

Cycling hats not only keep the hair out of my eyes which is super duper important because I won't ever be caught dead in a pony tail (sorry dudes, just isnt for me) as well as stays put while not killing my head.
...and plus, it's a Colnago hat, so who wouldn't want to wear it.

I carry my bag, cycling or walking, everywhere and all day. My aversion to messenger bags is because I really don't want to be yet another person who looks like a messenger all day but isn't. I've been known to roll up my pant legs on warm days and carry my keys on my belt, which is already hard to believe isn't some kind of attempt to look like I'm a messenger.
I've seen people with every possible "accesory" who I know aren't messengers and...it's honestly sad. I'm not part of that culture, but it's still sad to witness yet another one get fetishized. Is everyone so lost?
Oh man, have any of you looked at the Knog catalogue?

Haha wow, I wonder on what basis a lot of you guys are writing your "don't" lists from.
Carbon cranks? steel bars? carbon bottle cages? Bibs/chamios? Cycling caps? Messenger bags?
Though some of these have already been argued, I still have a hard time trying to figure out why not...
One bad experience or story you've heard?
I know this tread is all of personal opinion, but maybe some of you need to try some other riding other than fixie crusin. Just MY thought.
also just because you ride fixed doesn't mean you need tp be afraid of modern technology

you only ever ride 4 blocks to class? maybe that's why some people aren't down with cycling shorts either...
the more time i spend on a bike, the list of things i think i won't need/buy gets shorter. (formerly: cycling caps, helmet, bibs/cycling shorts, jerseys, clipless pedals, gears, brakes, headlight, etc) i've never used all of those at the same time, but they've required purchasing at one time or another.

I wore one all summer. After a day you dont even notice it anymore.

Speed isn't the point. I could go faster in a Yugo, requiring about the same amount of effort as that thing, and having just as much fun. That contraption is an assault on my dignity.

The Illuminite Neon Cycling Jacket is ideal for the safety conscious person that desires a high performance jacket that blah blah blahs.

I find jerseys at thrift stores all the time. I buy them every time, because any $5 can fetch $10+ on eBay. Sometimes I find team stuff that I can get $30-$50 for.
As for things I'll never buy...
The stupid Trackstar hoodie. It's good that things like that exist, because it's a litmus test for ******s. You see someone wearing one, and they're a ******, and you know not to deal with them.

Don't get me wrong, I'm all for being visible. But couldn't you just use a blinker and save yourself from neon clothing? And the thing is, anybody concerned enough to buy that probably already has a super-bright 120 dollar set of lights therefore making it even less necessary. I admit I set myself up for criticism with the tone of that post though.

Your non specific elitism puzzles me
