Gotta 49cm frame and built up for the gf. Packing and finish was great, and the final build looks good. Talked to bikeisland by email several weeks ago and was promised a quick solution regarding a drop bolt vs un******** brake for the rear since she is riding it SS and I don't want her to die. Still interested in the answer to that, so if anyone has new info, pls pass it along. Couldn't find anything on the website.

Is this interesting detail that buyers would like on our site?

YES! I for one am really annoyed that all of "Geometry" links on every bike sold on your site go to one of those generic pages on www.motobecane.com, www.cyclesmercier.com, etc where there is one generic geometry table that presumably applies to all the frames your are selling. Anyway those tables don't give enough information...

I'd say, include a detailed CAD sheet like what you have shown in a separate link along with a brief geometry table. Buyers like to be informed!

I think you are right
and this fall we are going to work on having these drawings on as many models as we can

takes a lot of time -
but may really make buyers happy

I'm thinking about getting one of these over a IRO Mark V?

Good choice?

look on the surly website at the steamroller. It's pretty much the same. As far as i know it's a copy of the same bike minus the chainstays(the surly ones have a funky bend in them) and the fork clearance.

I think most of us will only run with a front brake since the rear brake will not reach.

Thank you
i'm interested then, on what's the point of the rear brake cable stops, but i'm sure that's a beating a dead horse at this point...

My interpretation from previous post is that the rear brake bridge is too far away for almost all brakes to reach the rim even though the frame design was intended to do so, hence the cable stops. I think it's pretty much a design flaw but don't quote me on that. I'm maybe wrong and that the 556 brake will reach (will need a 70-90mm brake to reach). I still need to build my Jury but never intended to put a rear brake on anyways. I can check though if the rear brake does reach and post the results. I will run 35c and use it as a townie.

^Looks awesome. What cranks/BB spindle length are you using? Did you have any of the problems mentioned here?

thanks, i'm using a sugino xd crankset with a 107mm spindle length. the only annoyance i've had with this bike so far was trying to find a front brake for it, otherwise it performs very nice!

Hey, fellow Jury frame owners and bikesdirect.com

I was about to mount my R556 front brake when I noticed that the fork isn't drilled for a recessed nut. What did you guys do to mount your front brake? Did you drill the back of the fork? Thanks in advance.

i'm not sure what other people did for this problem, but i ended up swapping the bolt with another cheap brake set that fit. it is covered in this thread: https://www.bikeforums.net/showthread...69#post7469969
