if it's not stolen, it's worth it. but do it a favor and keep it original. don't tarck it up. ciocc's aren't common, and seeing one in full geared glory is a wonderful thing. are those modolo levers?

As a Ciocc owner, yes, they are incredible bikes and rival Colnago (over-rated) for ride quality. That bike is made with SLX tubing, btw, I've seen the same one in a 62cm size. Might be stolen or it might be some guy who inherited it or whatever, it is an old bike, at least 20 years old.

Yeah, just be polite. Buy it. Get his info for sure, including license plate numbers. Then take the bike to the city cop shop and ask them if there have been any police reports on the missing bike.

If you want to go the extra mile, put up fliers and such.

Looks like a cool bike, definitely seems hot. I dont know if I could pass it up thought, Im about to spend that much just turning my old bike to fixed.

Also: G-piny, LA just really doesnt cater to anyone that doesnt have a car do they? Licenses to ride a bike? thats nutty.

I have a slightly earlier Ciocc at my sister's house out in California, and I just love riding it. No way in hell I'd use such a beautiful bike as a fixie.

And yeah, I'm sure it's hot enough to melt the lubrication right out of the bearings. Get all the info, as suggested. I had my Katakura Silk stolen at UC Davis back in the mid-80's, and I just ****in' HATE bike thieves.

I dream of one day owning a Ciocc or Coppi and find myself searching ebay everyday for one in my size. To echo the others, whatever you do, please don't gimp it into a fg, it is capable of so much more.
