Posted this a week or so ago in the old forum.... but this is my fixed commuter.
Its a 80's Spaulding Blade that Ive beat up commuting on it ove rthe past few years... so I gave it some love over the winter months a little paint, built a new wheel set etc. Still stock crank and stem other than that its been completely overhauled.
Oh and I should mention Im part of a reggae soundsystem hence the color pallet...

it's an Indonesian made aluminum MTB frame, size 16" (a tad small for my legs, hence the tall seatpost). been in my friend's garage for quite a while until he realized that it'd look better on my garage. repainted it green. I also repainted Marzocchi MZ3 100mm fork, slap on some decals I designed myself. FSA 660mm rise bars, Deore hubs and crankset, XT rotors, M465 brakes.
bashguard is CNC-ed from 10mm thick acrylic. I'd expect it to break or crack anytime soon, but it stands out just nice.
more pictures here.

Yeah dude theres no problem with it coming from me. Lowes sells a set of electrical tape in multiple colors including all the world champ colors that look better than the ones you used though. I used to work there. You can get it for like 7 bucks in the electrical department

i appreciate it!
its a 52t, and combined with 160mm crank arms, it looks fairly large.
indeed, im running a very low gear with a 21 in the back! it 'feels' like 70 gear inches on 170mm arms. im really happy with the control i get, and the short arms let me spin for the top end.

@kaibot— beautiful rossin. somehow that post looks too beefy to fit in the seat tube... one weird optical illusion.

Here's my first build!
72 Schwinn Paramount Road Racer frame, converted
32H Phils laced to Sun Ringle Rims, original Campy Strada cranks, 47T NOS Gipiemme chainring, EAI 17T track cog, Brooks Team Professional, cheap flop 'n' chop bars... wanted to run the original cinelli giro d'italias but they were WAY too narrow. The biggest shame was losing the chrome on the lugs, but when had it cleaned, it was discovered that the rust was too far advanced to save it. still looks great, though, I think.
clips and straps are being attached tonight before i ride tomorrow.
